Crochet pattern hexagon flower blanket – Crochet this colorful blanket using this digital crochet pattern. It’s an ideal stash buster crochet pattern, because you can use all kinds of yarn from your stash. But of course you can also go to your favourite craft store or online yarn retailer to get the yarn of your preference. I started this blanket during the first lock down, so had to rely on what I had in my storage: Stylecraft Special DK.

Materials needed crochet pattern Hexagon flower blanket

Yarn: Stylecraft Special DK I used 14 Colors (1 ball each) and 9 balls of the color Cream.
Colors: Colors used are described in the pattern.
Quantity for blanket 13 hexagons wide and 21 rows high (app 1.40 by 2 m / 1.5 by 2.2 yards): 1300 g in total, of which around 810 g Cream
Hook size: 4,5 mm / US size 7 (this is bigger than prescribed for this yarn, but I like to crochet blanket which a bigger needle size to get a more flexible blanket)

The digital pattern (in pdf format) contains step by step pictures, crochets charts en comprehensive text to describe the pattern, stitches used and the method of joining the hexagons. In the FB-group I’ve added a video where I show how to join.

Alternative yarn to Crochet pattern hexagon flower blanket

You can crochet this blanket with any kind of yarn. In the picture below I used mercerised cotton (Durable Coral, Schachenmayr Catania, Phildar Phil cotton 3). I used crochet hook 3,5 mm.
